Almost Home - Landscape Oil Painting

Almost Home 12 x 10" oil on wood panel

On the way home from Collingwood on a sunny day, I noticed the cloud formations and fall colours. I love texture and bold strokes of colour. I primed the panel, then painted with two coats of gesso and a coat of raw sienna. Then roughly draw the image on the panel then paint it.

About My Work

I enjoy the challenge of painting with oils.

My favourite subjects are rural landscapes, birds and native wildflowers in Southwestern Ontario. I'm intrigued by barns, clouds and trees. I am also open to doing commissions.

I have a small studio space which is open by appointment. I am often working in my office/studio from Monday to Friday. Often my paintings are at shows or galleries, but I do have some paintings here at my studio.
