Painting is an expression of my love of the natural world around me. I paint local landscapes and rural scenes. I live in Grey County, Ontario and work mainly in oils.
While on vacation my husband and I hiked to Misery Bay on Manitoulin Island. There was not much sand but a rocky beach with lines in the rock from the movement of glaciers. It was a really interesting place.
I love the depth and colour in this painting. It has an almost abstract quality. I also saw your paintings at the Southampton art Gallery this week. Beautiful!
